Hi all, I am new to this forum although I participate with a similar nickname in a few others. I live in the metro Vancouver area and my concern is earthquakes. I have always been a camping and outdoors guy and I have the nickname of pack rat amongst my buddies as I am a bit of a gear whore. 🙂 Through experience and the internet I have tried to upgrade my skills to be able to function with less gadgetry so I may take them as a luxury but not a necessity should disaster arise.
My attitude is to be prepared via common sense and knowledge, something I guess I learned back in Cub Scouts in the early 80's, I won't be storing 5000lbs of rice in the basement any time soon but I do have some EDC items and enough gear and supplies to get my small family through a period of disaster or lack of assistance, for a couple weeks at the least.
I also have a youtube channel where I try to encourage other folks to use common sense and prepare some items in case of emergency as well as I like to interact with other wildlife enthusiasts, preppers and bushcrafters and their channels.
I run a small landscape company and have been in the nursery and landscape industry since the late 80's.
Looking forward to interacting here.
Welcome and greetings from Northern Ontario.
Welcome. I think it is important that we get to know and team up with like minded folks on the mainland. We may need to help each other. Having connections on the other side could be the difference between life and death.
