We are retired and are looking for secluded acreage with house, preferably on some kind of river or lake, probably in interior BC and were wondering if there are any ideas or recommendations.
We are from Ontario, (I know, not another easterner!) but we love BC and can't stand K. Wynne.
Do we need 100 acres, or will 10 suffice and trillion similar questions.
Hope this topic will help others also.
Been gone for a long time. You need to be below or around
The 1800 ft level. I lived at 2400 ft for several years and it sucked. We always as we drove to town wanted. To be near the river. More game, water, less snow and spring comes 3 weeks sooner. As far as average size depends on livestock. If you have more and it's a good place you can always rent out small seasonal plots and can think about cabin rentals to help supplement income.
Hope this was some help. 😀
Funny, figtree, I just asked a similar question recently: http://internationalpreppersnetwork.net/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=7108
