Hey everyone, I'm new to the site, and fairly new to prepping. I'm a Victoria local, and have 3 years in the infantry under my belt. Be sure to hit me up for any tips relating to firearms, combat, etc.

cheers

Goodcat,

welcome, you will find alot of good info on this site, based on your military training you probably have lots of skills and training that some people dont have. I look forward to hearing your thoughts and input on different topics.

Howdy Goodcat;
Chewed some dirt did you...???
Good to hear other people with time in are joining the Preppers. You hopefully will find quickly that most folks here all have great things to share.
I know how wonderful life on the island can be, but I also know far too well the many reasons why I don't live there anymore.
You folks need to band together even more than us on the mainland. The challenges that present themselves in our prepper world hit home with much more immediacy for people who are cornered by deep, cold water.
The Greatr Victoria Area has a good grip on emergency preppairing, so you have resources in place that will be a huge benifit.

Hmmm, maybe I should rethink the quiet part...

Cheers everyone, I've recently gotten into this for a number of reasons, and am trying to get a figure of how many other people in my area/the island in general have similar idea's or interest in banding together in the event of some sort of catastrophic event occurring. I'm a pretty young feller, but I've been around the block a few times and have a pretty good bearing of what it takes to survive in every type of environment. Looking at investing in some civilian firearms shortly as well, so if there's anyone who's in need of a shooting partner, or any type of safety training or coaching on a weapon system feel free to pm me.

Preparedness is like a condom , I've rather have it and not need it, rather than need it and not have it
