Has anyone had any experience with the Lifestraw Personal Water Filter? Looks like a good product.

Thanks

I haven't used that product. I use the Berkey sport bottle. It has a filter in it. You fill the bottle, put the filter in and screw the top on then drink. You immediately have about 500 ml of water you can carry anywhere plus you can use it to decant into a pot or other container for storage. The lifestraw doesn't give you those capabilities.

The Lifestraw is a great, inexpensive option, that will filter 1000L of water.
Pretty impressive for such a small and lightweight package, works as advertised, and the water tastes fine.
The drawback being that you cannot put clean water into a container with it, only draw from a water source.
I purchased one of these for my first water filter option until I had the time to upgrade to something more long term, and now carry it in my VEDC.

Another great straw option is the Aquamira Frontier Emergency Water Filter System.
It is smaller, and lighter, but only does 75L of water. Same limitations as the Lifestraw.
