Wondering if one could use the solar garden lights and just change out the battery holder?
Maybe even wire together a few of those tiny little solar panels that they come with?
Anyone with an electronics background able to chime in on this?

"The Source" has a 400 watt inverter for $29.95. Sale ends Nov 14. Add a battery, charge controller and panel. Then you can do more than batteries. Just a thought.

Evening All,
Great topic.
As soon as I get my ducks in a row, I would like to pursue a solar recharge unit from Goal Zero, goal zero dot com. For a great source of high quality rechargeable batteries I like All Battery. All-Battery dot com. They also have some entry level solar rechargers.
Mountainman.
I like Goal Zero to Mt. Man. I also like the look of the review on this one. Power Swatch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B8XrupGWP9o

ZZ,
I watched the review. No complaints here. It looks like the real deal, too. There are a lot of great, portable solar units out now. It can only get better, right. Just have to order one before they are not available.

Here is what Goal Zero is promoting this Christmas. Might work for some of you.

The Goal Zero stuff is good quality and it is portable but it is oh so, so expensive.
