Though a lot of people will probably disagree with me, But most good hunting books and hunters will have a lot of good information about wildlife conservation. The BC Wildlife Federation will have a lot of good info as well.

Many former full time hunters are the greatest and dedicated advocates for conservation you will see. They operate on real values and to maintain a good healthy breeding stock.
I hunted and was a conservationist as well. Likely more of a conservationist than the armchair ones as I always looked out or the best interests of what I hunted - I wanted a good steady supply to conntinue.
