Snow's started falling in Regina, and it'll be to Southern MB by Friday night/Saturday morning. Most of the forecasts I see are calling for a foot or so of snow over the course of the day. Nothing too strenuous, but driving will be tricky and potential white out conditions between the snow, wind and freezing rain.

Everyone in the area has the basics just in case, right? Right?

Water, food, heat source, clothes and boardgames for three days everyone! Don't forget to fill your gas tanks. Heavy wet snow makes for unreliable power distribution.

As a final note, here's to this being a nonevent, and everyone stays, cozy, warm and lighted.

We got about a foot and a half of snow in almost 3 full days of constant snow fall.

Was no big deal for the locals here. Power stayed on uninterrupted. Nieghbors used snow blowers daily to keep each other's walkways and driveways clear.

City crews were well behind the curve as usual so city streets were a nightmare for anyone with a smaller vehicle, but fortunately 3 days of snow turned out to be a Non-event.
