This is where to go if you live near Toronto and want to buy grains, sugar, beans and rice in bulk to package for long term storage - lots of organic selections if you are concerned about that. This is where Bulk Barn gets it's supplies so going in yourself to their retail store is much cheaper.

It is possible to get a business account if you have a buisness number in some related field - ie - a friend is a nutritionist and she got one that saves her even more money. I am putting an order in with her and I have yet to see how much we will save but it should be less than 1/2 the price of Bulk Barnl. Everything is available in 10kg, 25kg bags and some smaller quantities. You order at the front desk and pick it up at the loading dock.

If you call them they will send you a list of what they have to offer. There are no prices on the list as those change with the market conditions but they will give you a quote by email of fax.

Review from a website: A friend of mine told me about this place at least a year or 2 ago and I am kicking myself for waiting so long to check it out.

Grain Process is a manufacture that also have a retail store. The store is not very big and is literally white walls and metal shelves but don't judge this place by its cover as there are so much goodies to be discovered. They have all kinds of flours, baking supply, spices, grains and even things like gluten-free stuff and TVP. Everything is made on premise so it's super fresh. They have a wide range of certified organic products as well as regular. For flours, they have small bags and 10kg bags. Prices are great too!

I'll definitely be buying all my future baking supplies here. If you love to cook, have a passion for baking and is into health products, you need to check it out! The only problem is their business hours as they have short hours during the week and are only open one saturday a month.

Cash & Debit - not sure about credit card. Also worth noting is that they moved to 105 commander but there are no signs. If you do go, just turn in at 105 and go to the back building.

Tyrone Mills gets all their bulk product from Grain Processing. When you buy it from the Toronot store it's even cheaper 🙂 Sorry - they do not have a website. You have to call to find out prices but they are very helpful - It's worth the drive!

I am putting in an order soon - I'll post the prices when I get the order.

I just go to Tyrone for THE MOST AMAZING DONUTS - yes???

So i'm curious, does anyone know how to find/process grains in the bush, and how to make bread out of those grains?

Hammer, just saw your message.

There is no clear answer, some grains need to be processed in very odd ways, some conventional ways and some in hybrid ways. You need a guide or a field guide natural edibles, with all the instructions included to help you on this project.
sorry best answer i have.
