Long Term Food Storage---Done Cheaply!Info at Earth Blog (site)Came across the info on another site, it has been talked about here, now this sites page lists it out step by step with pics :)This page is using those 2ltr pop bottles.Thinking on it, if you put plastic around the top of the bottle before you screw on the cap or use some Teflon Tape, it would give an even better seal

Karnit, thanks for the link! I'm not a huge fan of beans but the recipe on that site convinced me to get some for my stash. Right now, everything is in individual bags in a 5 gal pail (I didn't do the full amount suggested, maybe 15%) but will mix and put away in jars and "dry can" when time permits.
