(NaturalNews) The news you are about to read puts everything else in the category of "insignificant" by comparison. Concerned about the 2012 U.S. presidential election? Worried about GMOs? Fluoride? Vaccines? Secret prisons? None of that even matters if we don't solve the problem of Fukushima reactor No. 4, which is on the verge of a catastrophic failure that could unleash enough radiation to end human civilization on our planet. (See the numbers below.)
The resulting releasing of radiation would turn North America into a "dead zone" for humans... mutated (and failed) crops, radioactive groundwater, skyrocketing infant mortality, an explosion in cancer and infertility... this is what could be unleashed at any moment from an earthquake in Japan. Such an event could result in the release of 85 times the Cesium-137 released by the Chernobyl catastrophe, say experts (see below). And the Chernobyl catastrophe made its surrounding regions uninhabitable by humans for centuries.
Yet, astonishingly, the usual suspects of deception are saying absolutely nothing about this problem. The mainstream media (the dying dinosaur media, actually) pretends there's no problem with Fukushima. President Obama says nothing about it. Federal regulators, including the NRC, are all but silent. It's as if they think their silence on the issue somehow makes it go away.
Perhaps these professional liars in the media and government have become so used to idea that they can simply spin their own reality (and get the public suckers to believe almost anything) that they now believe they can ignore the laws of physics. That's why they have refused to cover the low-level radiation plume that continues to be emitted from Fukushima.

Well you need to wonder at what point are we going to need personal radiation meters. Down south in the states much of the water is already contaminated, and they wont tell the people. Eventually it will be like in "Beyond Thunderdome" where Max checked the water for radiation before buying any. Will we eventually be seeing along a hi-way, "You are approaching a hot zone, raise your radiation shields now".
"We 'Prep.' to live after a downfall, Not just to survive."
If we reach the point where we need personal radiation meters then we will already be beyond the point of no return. Some information is helpful. Some is interesting. The sad reality here is that IF this happens we are screwed... there is no way to prep for this or survive it... and certainly not to "LIVE"
In reality.. I'd rather not know.
It would appear I made a mistake in the past when I sold my lead lined underwear after the Cuban Missile Crisis. I wonder if the Sally Ann has sold them????
Humour aside, this is yet another possible population control event. Scary. Sucks to be down wind of Japan. 🙁

I get really concerned when I read about anything to do with nuclear reactors and probable scenarios that may result if something goes wrong. I am so terrified that reactor in Japan really is going to collapse! I've got my fingers crossed for you guys - I am hoping and praying that it doesn't go down. If the "unthinkable" happens...how much warning are you guys going to get? What can you do to protect yourselves?

I guess it depends on what causes a collapse of the reactor. If it is an earthquake, and the media is allowed to report about a reactor critical failure, then we would probably have a few days depending on prevailing winds. So, if everyone plays like mature, grown-ups. We should get a bit of warning. However, if some pencil neck geek thinks there will be panic in the streets and sits on the information for "our safety". We may not get any warning before we are drinking radioactive water and eating radioactive corn flakes for breakfast.
What could be done....get underground, get filtered air and wait for the radioactive material to breakdown to a safe level. Days? Weeks? Months? Years? Decades? Hard to say, without knowing what the reactive agent is and how much falls in a particular location. It could be like a tornado, hit and miss. However, where it hits could be toast for decades and a location near by could be safe in a week or two.
We won't duck and cover until the sky is glowing with radioactive ash! 😉

You guys wanna come over here?
I've just been looking to see if there was any further news on this topic and found the following report, so.....DON'T EAT ANYTHING THAT COMES FROM JAPAN

and some more "scary" news

Is there any space in the Outback for a few of us to pitch our tents and live off the land??? 🙂 At least until the radiation levels drop?? That may be a new level of bugging out, but one that we may have to keep open. Thanks.

The real "Outback Australia" is not what you see in tourist brochures. It is probably not a good option for a bug out scenario. Why? No water to be found or seen for miles (unless you are an indigenous Australian and have been raised in the outback), not much shade, 50+ C temperature in summer.....Floods in the wet season. Only food out there is bush tucker and native animals, plus heaps of flies - just look up great Australian salute! It's really dry out there and has claimed many lives (even experienced Australians).....better to go for bush area's several hours away from the coast (the coast is where most of the population resides). Gippsland area in Victoria has wild deer (some of which you can hunt), coastal area's have mostly good fishing, some area's are better for food production than others. Hope this helps.
FYI - some of the photo's attached will give you some idea of what the true Australian outback looks like:

Thanks Susannah,
Those pics look great. Beauty in the raw. Water management and conservation - top priority skills, no doubt. It still looks great.
I guess we will find out in a few more hours what the Jaguar Serpent has in mind for the reactor in Japan. Solar eclipse. Earthquakes. Nuclear meltdown. Galactic alignment. A test for modern mankind?? Time will tell.
