Ernesto seems to have kept south and dumped on Mexico and parts of Central America. However, hurricane season seems to be ramping up as these tropical depressions are crossing the Atlantic in rapid fire.

It has been forcasted that one of these hurricanes will track up the coast and into eastern Canada by late Aug. or early Sept.
Keep an eye on them.

I am not sounding any warning sirens here, but this deserves your attention if you are on the east coast...
There is a tropical depression over the Atlantic traveling slowly west by northwest and it is already quite far north as compared to those that enter the gulf area or hit Florida. Looks more to be aimed at the Carolinas.
There have been some long range weather forecasts indicating a tropical storm or hurricane hitting the Canadian east coast in late August to early September.
Perhaps this may be the one, but perhaps not.
Keep an eye on it here...

We are half way through this year's hurricane season, June 1st to November 31st. Last year there were nineteen named tropical storms, seven hurricanes including three major hurricanes. The 2012 hurricane season was forecasted to be fairly tame with twelve tropical storms and seven hurricanes including three major hurricanes. So far we have been lucky but we know they are coming. Like Debob says we will just have to wait and see.
