4ever recap reusable canning lids are made of BPA-free plastic which is an FDA and USDA approved, food-grade material. The reusable canning lids meet CFR guidelines. We upgraded the original rubber gasket by replacing it with an unbeatable silicon gasket. The silicon gasket will not stretch or dry out. It is not suseptable to nicks and cuts like other gaskets. The 4ever recap reusable canning lid and gasket combination is a superior product that will truly allow you to use and reuse your lids endlessly. The reusable canning lids and gaskets also store neatly with our smart-stack design for off-season storage.

They look exactly like Tattler lids to me. For price comparisons sake: 200 Tattler lids are $155.00 plus shipping 200 4Ever lids are $108.00 and it looks like NO shipping costs but I'm not sure.

I'll probably put in an order sometime in the next few months and I'll get back to you with a review.

I was going to order the tattlers next week, but these really do seem like another great option, they seem to be more durable.
Shipping to Canada is not free, and there is a chance of paying duty at the border, so I suspect most cost saving will be negated.
I am waiting for a response from the company about the cost of shipping.
Great product link, thanks for posting.

I keep hearing places on the 'net that the Tattlers are a bit fussy to work with...I look forward to a review.
I'd also be willing to buy a dozen or so from you to defray your costs if you have to order that many as a minimum order.

I have a case of tattlers, but I haven't gotten around to using them yet. I am one of those fruit cakes who re-uses the metal lids. If they are taken off the jar carefully, and heated before use, they are good for several uses. I may order some of these others and who knows, one day might even know if there is a difference between them.

Thanks for the info.I had one failed jar from the old glass lids. Those were desperation lids for future use but it may be time for an upgrade

Never used the Tattler lids. They look interesting but I like to hear the pop from my lids. I also reuse my lids multiple times. If a lid doesn't seal - eat your produce that day and put an X on the lid. Next time it doesn't seal I throw it out. (Unless it has obvious damage then you should have noticed that before you used it and thrown it out.) So far, I've only ever thrown out two lids. Also, for more lids, don't get them at the grocery/box stores. Go to Dollarama. For $1.50 plus tax you get a dozen Bernardin lids which are a great brand. Every time I go to Dollarama I pick up a few for future use. I've looked at buying lids in bulk but Dollarama's price per lid beats the rest. As for Tattler, they are pricey and look a little complicated with the rubber rings being unattached. Maybe a good choice for some but I will stick with my regular lids.
