I seem to remember you don't use an oxygen absorber with
white sugar or brown sugar as they go hard.

However, can you vacuum seal them without it making them go hard.

I vacuum seal these with no oxygen absorbers and have had no problems so far.

I have been storing sugar for many years. Just put in a tight fitting bucket/pail and they are good to go. I have even used pails from ice cream and they were good.
Never had one go solid on me...yet. 😉
Not worth vac sealing in MHO.

I just opened one from 1 1/2 yrs ago and it a light crust on top but as soon as I dug in it broke up and the rest was fine. I had that stored in a damper area tho..so that may account for that light crust on top.
