Hi WildernessReturn no I'm not sure please explain or let me know where to look it up.Thanks TorontoGrl for that intel Chia seeds will look it up as well.
Generally speaking, vegans don't consume animal by-products, such as dairy products and honey. While calorie-dense and capable of extremely long term storage (not to mention delicious), honey is not a viable food source for vegans. Vegetarians may or may not have it on their list of restrictions.

Surely a must have is to be prepared to eat anything. Its a lovely idea to enjoy our favourite foods but in reality if your starving your going to eat anything or die.
Not trying to offend, just trying to be realistic, after 4 or 5 days of escape and evasion (legal, not on the run 😉 , cat food out of dishes was one of the best meals ive ever had, lt really boils down to what lengths you are prepared to go to survive.

I've done weeks of Winter camping, you'd be surprised how many things around you are edible, all you have to do is learn.
