I was wondering how people's gardens are progressing this spring. We are adding asperagus to our perennial edibles this year. How are everyone elses garden plans progressing?
Hope for tomorrow; Learn from yesterday; Live for today.
The flower bed perennials are all doing really well. Rhubarb is smaller this year because of the cold wet spring, chives are out and we've been eating them already and the horseradish is starting to get leaves again. Until it stops raining and it gets warmer here on the west coast I won't be planting the vegetable garden before mid-May.
good year for asparagus, rhubarb and garlic, not a perennial , but here I plant our hard neck verity it in the fall and pick end of july. Horse radish all dig up closer to fall. I'm also going to dig up some Jerusalem artichokes and give them a try. they say there like very starchy potato's.
