The Ottawa patient has tested negative. The Belleville patient results are still pending....

Thank god he tested negative !

Yeah that kind of sucks for your French classes... Just stay "away" from everyone and you should be fine.

There was a case in Quebec last week but he too tested negative... We shall see how it turns out.

Update: New outbrake, apparently, 17 kindergardners contracted the virus in Worthham, Texas.

This is so sad...kids. this new outbrake is really getting me thinking, hopefully it will remain under control, and won't get airborn.

PortAlberniPrepper: I think that Denob speaks the truth, a case detected in a 100km radius would be a good sign to bug out.

Fortunately wordiestdata, that does not check out as true . Any blog or website who would fabricate and spread that should be immediately and hereafter discredited and not be frequented for any "news" . They are now a known entity for spewing garbage.

Ok so lets say Ebola test positive in your city. With a 2:1 ratio for infection and a 21 day infection rate, it would take a lot of time before you would be infected. Especially with our quarantine measures. In West Africa there have be 4000 deaths in 7 months. So for a city like KW with about 400 000 people, to could be months before even a chance encounter. Again with our quarantine measures it would be slower infection rate.

I think there are more reasonable options instead of bugging in or out (AT THIS STAGE). Especially because we all have bills to pay. 1) Start wearing gloves in public. I already wear thin dollar store winter gloves in the winter even in stores because of flus and colds. Adding a pair of disposables underneath that would;t cause alarm and would keep me safe. The one major thing you have to think about is not to touch your face. The average person touches there face 100's of times a day. 2) Add a basic mask to your day to day. In North America we don't do this often. But in Japan and Hong Kong it is regular to see people with disposable masks on. Not only to save yourself, but to stop you from spreading a cold. Common courtesy.

One more thing I just learned. Bleach which is the best disinfectant, but only has a shelf life of 3-9 months depending on storage conditions. As well anti-viral cleansers like disinfecting wipes do not work on virus's like Ebola. Bleach is your only way.

Here is my question. What is a reasonable way to keep your kids safe? From virus's of all kinds.

It is SOOOOOO not a crisis yet.

More people die from cars every year or the bath tub than by ebola. Will you still get in the shower then hop into the car for that date tonight? You bet ya, but I guess you like to take risks 😀

Why did I join Canadian Preppers Network?
Well I was going to join the UK Network but those bloody Brits don't know how to speak proper English! 😉
