SO, i'm not near my home, for medical reasons i'm staying in another town. There's a hurricane approaching the area, and all i can think about it i got no preps... Is there such a thing as prepper anxiety?
Coming at ya from the Coldlands of Canada
There sure is such a thing... In my case, i'm away from home all week long for my studies...
I only come back home on weekends and thats what i keep thinking about. If SHTF, i am 45 minutes from all my preps and my things...and my family...

Totally.
And a hurricane can make even a GHK and a few extras carried for longer-distance travel not as reassuring, especially if you're limited in space due to travel type.
Hope you get through it (and the med need) without any problems.
It's just regular anxiety that makes some of us become preppers. Then you have the "time is short - must prep faster" anxiety. After that stage it's the "can I cover my major scenarios? " anxiety.
Our uncertainty of the current situation ( in your case a hurricane) merely acts to morph our original anxiety into something more focused.
Of course - mine peaked listening to sirens going off for an approaching Tsunami and I'm on the opposite side of the Island from everything I need and wearing high heels and a cocktail dress! Try running in those suckers!
