If this is a request for yourself: Perhaps your doctor would have some suggestions in a physical location? I am a strong believer in taking charge of my own life. If I want to learn something I research it myself. I can hear you saying - I need more help than that. I can understand that - however the first step is making a decision to change and you've done that!
Start with baby steps. Find someone to be your accountability partner. Join www.sparkpeople.com - it's free and it's an online community where you can connect with others who have the same amount of weight to lose as you do (I don't really want to talk weight loss with someone who needs to lose 10 pounds either!!!) plus online food diaries and a host of tools and food calculators that can really make a difference.

Actually, Anita is NOT the original poster. The person who started this thread was a spammer. As admin, I banned them by IP address and had all their posts deleted. This action seems to have bumped the second poster (in this case Anita) into the lead on the thread. I should just delete the whole topic, as it was created with nothing to do with this site.
