I thought it was about time we shared what we are learning as we already share what we are storing.
Have you learned a new skill, perfected one or tested your skills this week?
Since I started this thread I figure that I should share 😀
One of the things that I learned how to do this week was crochet plastic bags into mats. I saw the idea on a fund raising group. They were making them for the homeless people in their city to sleep on. Keeps the cold & damp away from the body. Better then a tarp for comfort & cheaper too.
I am not up to the pace of learning a new skill each week 😉 but I try to learn new skills over the year. This past year I have learned soap-making and target shooting to a pretty good skill level, I think. I tried learning how to ferment vegetables, but I am not so hot on the taste of the results, so I will try other long-term food storage options. Made seitan, not sure that is a skill per se but useful for me as a vegetarian. My next project is a paracord rifle sling.
