Bought a skinning knife,
bought 2 smaller womens/kids compound bows in 20lb draw for them to learn on
bought 15 arrows, most for my bows, 3 for each of the learner bows.
getting people together for purchasing a property in the Timmins area
selling/getting rid of most of my business stuff, and useless personal items for move and simpler living
configured my van to have a sleeping bench, with foam and sleeping bags for travel and bugging out.
working on training the dog more and more,
ordered a sledding/carting/pulling harness from a local person, so the price is very decent in the $50 range and custom made
serviced the van, it now gets better fuel mileage so can go farther on a tank of fuel
continue networking with Preppres along the route for emergency situations and mutual support.
a few other things as well 🙂
😎
Had to re-buy James Rawles "Patriots" since I lost it to my last girlfriend >:(. FYI His newest one Founders comes out on september 25 (my birthday!)
I think this might have been a hint to Taz Sr.
Naw, Taz Sr. ain't stupid. After Taz Jr. buys and reads Founders, Taz Sr. will borrow and read it. 😎 😆
Ok in that case you can just get me one of those sks's the range has ordered. O and also I was looking for some gas cans so I would have enough fuel to get to my bug out location without stopping and found a 25L can with a gas pump handle on clearence, makes getting gas in your car just as easy as going to the station.

(I'd go with the book Taz sr.....)....

restocking since we moved into the new place;
12 tetra packs of apple juice
pasta and sauces
peanut butters
several olive oils
installed the 250 gallon SuperTanker in the basement from InCaseOf
The missus purchased her own 30-06 to go hunting this year. My hunting buddy's wife is also ready with her 270. This is good as we have 2 moose tags this year and were also given permission to 1100 acres of elk habitat bordering an AB provincial park 😀
We also sunk the posts in the ground for the raised vegetable beds that will be the next stage. Our soil is alkaline so we have to grow vegetables above ground, so we put them on a slope along the southside of the house where there is lots of sun, heat, and shelter. I hope to post pictures eventually as this Spring will be our first attempt at gardening of any kind.
Made a day trip to Costco this week, my favorite store. Purchased lots of prepping stuff noticeably some cases of ravioli, 120 volt LED light bulbs, NiMH rechargeable batteries, Snap-on Cree 220 lumen flashlights, dish soap, bacterial soap, vitamins, Aspirin, Tylenol, and Ibuprofen.
I have now converted two more rooms to LED bulbs. Once the whole house is done I will have seriously reduced our power requirement footprint.
Two batches of sour cherry jam, three batches of raspberry-peach jam, froze a couple of quarts of tiny hot peppers, pickled 4 pints of sweet pickled hot peppers.
I've got so, so many hot peppers coming on...I've already put several bags into the freezer previous to these ones!
Lots of Thai/Indian/Mexican/Central and S.Amercan food gonna be in the meal rotations this winter!
I'm the lady you're stuck behind in the grocery store with the over loaded cart filled with cases of tuna, peanut butter, huge bags of rice and the weary looking husband

You have been busy! We are going to purchase the super tanker also from in case of in Lethbridge (is there one in Calgary? I will tell my sister if there is) Not sure if you know this so incase you don't...run your garden in a north-south direction not a east-west direction for best growing conditions. Good luck hunting...I admire M & her friend for joining you!
Husband got 2 free bags of apples from a co-workers tree, I canned 13 quarts of apple pie filling, then with the peels & cores I canned 3 -500ml jars of pectin for making jam/jelly next year and canned 12 jars of apple jelly
I bought 8 more chicks, 4 more genies, 3 ducks and 4 oz of silver.

We bought the supertanker from InCaseOf in Lethbridge but we picked it up in Cochrane at Briden to save on shipping costs.
We don't have a choice on the direction of the garden as it is snuggled along the south wall of the house and behind the garage: lots of sun and heat. Drawback is that it is not only sheltered from the hail and wind but also from the rain 🙁
We'll be gathering that rain from the eaves though.
Bought a 3 piece sleep system good to -40 and a 64' ALICE pack with frame, have had a hard time finding those frames.

Can you elaborate please on what these are?...

An "Alice Pack" is an American military pack from the 60's / early 70's. It came in different sizes and could be used with an external frame or without. A large bag with usually 3 outer bags and straps for attaching other items. There is available ... also military surplus... the US sleep system of a set of 2 sleeping bags that can be used together or individually and a waterproof bivy cover. As an alternative there is the Canadian Military surplus sleeping system. Both are VERY GOOD.
