On YouTube there is a good video on how to make a 60lb bow out of PVC pipe. I'm not sure of the link but I run across it every once in a while.

ammo only lasts so long

i fired ammo stored from the second world war back in the ninties (we were disposing of it, and though we might as well shoot it off)...2 misfires out of more than 2,000 rounds. store properly it will last forever and a day!

I may be wrong, but what I think kdwalton meant was that once ammo is used, it's gone. If you have a thousand rounds and you fire a thousand shots, you don't have ammo anymore. But I do agree with you, properly stored, ammo can have a long shelf life. At work we go through several thousand rounds a day in various calibers and one misfire out of a thousand is about normal, even for new ammo. I do love my job.
Keep fightin' the good fight carbon04.

yes to thousand rounds shot its gone is what i meant i should have clarified oops. But storing it properly does make a big difference. And if you do have a gun it too must be stored properly and learning how to clean diassemble the weapon is a must too for cleaning purposes too. One thing i do know in Alberta is if you have guns the must be stored seperate from ammo and tirgger locks on the gun and bolts remove I know if shtf then all that goes out the window. If anyone has children make sure the gun is not left for them to find there was an incident in washinton where a 6 yr old got his mothers gun took it to school in his back pack it discharge shooting a little girl in his class terrible thing to happen. I grew up with guns hunting and fishing so I learned the safety and how to look after and yes Respect the weapon my two cents
