Hi:

I just joined today. Great to have a forum where I can communicate with other like minded people. My concern is that the time is short before a collapse. Once the USA election is done, who know what is next. I was thinking that there must be people coming together from a shared retreat point of view. I wish I could afford a 100 acres at a remote location by myself with my wife; however, there are probably many people like me that can't. I also realize that this may not be the best strategy from a defensive and isolation point of view anyway. I would be happy to participate with others that have a similar view and desire to establish a safe and well stocked retreat. I live in the Toronto area so I would be looking north of Toronto. I know that any retreat group would have to be very selective of their members. Candidates would have to possess may practical skills along with the social skills required to keep the group from falling apart in trying times. I think the only way to be survive whats coming is to pool resources.

Any responses would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Welcome Wayde4ward. I agree with you that time is of the essence. Things are percolating so to speak. It is a good froup here and you will find many with knowledge and resources... IE... information sources. Sadly many in the "real world" have their heads in the sand and can't see the forest for the trees. Have you discussed this at all with neighbors, co workers, friends etc .... in broad terms... to see what their thoughts are. For many the sad reality is that they will be bugging in and to have a local group to develop a neibourhood watch on steroids and a mutually supportive environment is what you will need to do. The idea of 100 acres for you and your wife may seem ideal but in reality is totally a non starter. It is cost prohibitive, and unsustainable in the longer term. You have to develop a community at the "retreat". Lone wolves will ultimately fail.

Hello Wayde4ward.
you know about the main Canadian board right?
located here http://internationalpreppersnetwork.net/viewforum.php?f=6
once you go there, you can back track along the links to this area.
Most are in that area, although a few seem to stay in this area, it is confusing really
