The second time my dog got sprayed within a week, thank GOD that I keep a healthy supply of H. peroxide in the pantry . This girl of mine hates skunk, to the point that she has killed 5, and six squirrels. But Damn, we were just getting the smell out of the house from the last one.
For any one else who come into this predicament, here’s the recipe made by a Biochemist:
1 bottle (720ml) of H. peroxide, 1/4 cup of baking soda, and a table spoon of dish soap. Mix it well and apply liberally, rub in well, and make sure it gets down to the under coat
Believe me it works, as I have had to use this concoction over 10 times since we've had "Skunk Bane Madie". Jeezus H. C. help us, but it stinks in here. 👿 😡 😥

I second the concoction and keep the supplies - well - supplied! It does work really well...of course I can't feel AS sorry for you as someone else since I have no sense of smell. That of course leaves me to doing all the cleaning up while everyone else heads for the hills. They should be extra thankful since I could have just let the dog back in the house - I would NEVER know!

Some dogs just gotta chase them!

It must be that time of year. I hit a skunk this morning with my truck and it went off. I had hoped to go buy an air freshener for inside to hide the smell some, but now it just smells like I hit a skunk that rolled in wet cedar chips wearing some kind of perfume.
Hopefully after taking the truck to the car wash and power washing what was left clinging the smell will go away quickly.

If you find that the smell doent go away, get a pressure sprayer (garden type) and fill it with H.Peroxide, and spray streight on.
