"When a Quebec couple recently travelled to the far reaches of Yukon in a bid to escape the novel coronavirus, only to be turned away, it seemed a textbook case of pandemic-generated panic.
But while it was an extreme example, experts say the daily assault of information about COVID-19 can distort people's estimation of the risk the virus poses to them, which leads to both good and bad behaviour."

It most certainly will lead to good and bad decisions. I see it manifesting more as being injured while using an axe that the just purchased, burns, sprains, hunting accidents this fall...
On the plus side, Darwin concept may help take out a few 😆 be kinda fun to watch 3/4 of Toronto head up to the Yukon in October with a Starbucks takeout and a hatchet to get back to Mother Earth and live off the land. Just don’t come to farm country, it’s really horrible out here, no food or trees, just cranky old people with red necks and no teeth... / sarc. Far better they go WAY up north where the minus forty temps kill corona. Geese, maybe a rumour could be started to that effect hmmmm
