I had a thought. We all have something that we think might happen. We've planned in certain ways because of what we imagine might happen. We've seen the "doomsday preppers" show and seen how they prep.
What I haven't seen is people play out a day by day account of what they think is going to happen and how they'd respond to it, given a particular disaster they're preparing for.
For example:
Scenario: EMP attack
Day 1:
1. lights go out, cell phones die. Some cars stop working, others continue to work. Traffic jams start to occur.
2. I immediately try to make my way home because I suspect it is an EMP attack.
3. I reach home and turn on the radio that I've stored in a faraday cage and listen for any news on what's happened. So far I hear only static.
4. I go out to talk with my neighbors and share what I think has happened and begin to direct everyone to work together
Day 5...
1. With no relief in sight I post a sign outside our cul-de-sac that "looters will be killed"
...
etc. Reason for sharing these scenarios, is that no-one really knows what's going to happen but if we can share what we think is going to happen and how we're preparing for it, we can learn from each other, especially if we think of things that we didn't prepare for (not in terms of inventory, but in terms of acting and mental preparedness).
This is an excellent idea and one that more of us should get involved in. If you are honest with yourself regarding the "hard" questions you will begin to fill in the holes in your preparations be it mental, physical, food, medical or mechanical.

Great idea / Glad to hear that there are at least a few others that look at day to day lfe as a series of "what if scenarios"
