I do not usually comment too much on threads which are concerned with firearms however I just came across this article. It perhaps is a sign of the times but one has to wonder about the mentality of people who seriously propose such legislation:
Pistol grip?
Folding stock?
OK, we have lived with the magazine restrictions for years now...like em or not.
But seriously?
Yeah I'm not a big fan of our gun laws cause they make it hard for us to get them but the criminals can get them for cheap and easy lol
Preparedness is like a condom , I've rather have it and not need it, rather than need it and not have it
The disturbing part about these wise folks entrusted to develop legislation on something this important is that they haven't a clue what they're even doing. What does a pistol grip or thumb hole stock have to do with anything?
I love that Carolyn McCarthy video where she "thinks" a barrel shroud is "that shoulder thing that goes up ".
I think they should outlaw;
knives
hammers
screwdrivers
pencils
box cutters
rocks
bats
sticks
and the two biggest killers
vehicles
pharmaceutical companies
edit;
spoons cause they make you fat
McDonalds see above
TVs for making people stupid
Good one wilderness I like the spoon part

I would also add that they should ban hardwood floors. ive responded to more people slipping and splitting their heads open on hardwood floors then I have to gunshot incidents.
See you all after.
I actually checked snopes.com to see if this was a prank... but alas, nope.
Here is an update though;

and another one a day later;

Orwellian indeed...
Democrat bill sponsors, facing widespread outcry, told The Seattle Times they didn’t fully vet the eight-page bill before introducing it last week and that the home-inspection allowance was a simple oversight.
Not a chance. They just pulled it because of all the resistance and knew they would all along. Look at all the rest you'll now agree to as "not as bad as it could have been".
