I been shopping around for an Urban fixed blade for my EDC, something I could either carry in my backpack or on me in downtown Toronto without getting too crazy. Kabar fighting knives and Ontario SP-1's just won't cut it, everyone thinks I'm a psychopath. I needed something acceptable, and I found it.

Schrade F16

It's just a .5 of an inch smaller then my Gerber Swagger folder when extended, but it is a thick solid tang knife, g-10 handle. reverse tanto blade tip with a deep index finger choil for combat applications. It has a lanyard hole drilled through a generously extended tang at the back. Really sharp.

3.1 inch blade. 7 inch overall knife. 9Cr18MoV High Carbon Stainless Steel.

Some people complain about it being too big for a neck knife but if you're a big guy like me you'll barely notice.

Comes with a solid kydex sheath which I am now debating whether or not to put a kydex belt loop on it. I have a sheet of kydex and it would be simple, but as it is it's so small I could just throw it in my pocket for a hike, have it around my neck or even make an ankle brace for it. If I was going on a hike or working in the woods I might just bring a real knife anyways, so it'd just be backup.

In the winter I could get away with wearing it under a hoody but in the summer not so much, so this opinion of modifying the sheath might change with the weather.

If youre looking for a fixed blade that is a mean one but not gonna scare the moderates, and even looks like an ordinary folder that doesn't fold, this is it.
