Ok, this year the bugs are crazy. Mosquitos are everywhere. It is like an invasion. A few people in the area even got infections from bug bites this year and the doctors put them on antibiodics . So, what can be done to prevent infections from bug bites?
Yes, I do know the best way to prevent infection from bug bites is to not get bit. But what if a person already has? Think this would be good info for some to have.
baking soda paste works as well
to stop the itching, a slice of tomato or a dab of vinegar works
and if your hand got stung by 3+ wasps
and now looks like a catchers mit, what do you do?
Tried, allergy meds, rubbing onion on hand and stings, cow lotion, dish soap, ice cold water (damn that hurt!)

watch where you are walking next time?
I thought the onion worked
Onion worked last time on my leg, but not this time on my hand, although it does make it cooler and less itchy.
Put hand on mirror of my storage van, it had a nest in there, ya me!
Plantian juice really does work well on basic bug bites
However, cottonbud salve works really well, I like the ones made with olive oil, I let my buds soak fora full six months before making the salve.
Depending on the bug, baking soda paste can also help.

I'm making a plantain infusion - it will be ready in a month - think you can hold on that long? 🙂

Susannah,
that is an interesting site thank you. I did most of those things, so I must now add this into the weird allergy list I have thank you for your time to find this site. I will be looking this over more later on.
My "go to" for all skin based irritations is Preparation H - Cream.
It is antiseptic, analgesic, reduces swelling and has a cooling action.
"It was me - I let the dogs out!"
Never thought of using that for bug bites!
Yesterday a fellow I was working with pulled a tick off of his neck, so beware of ticks reminder
Got the tip from a Pro Football Trainer. He said it was his "go to" cream on the bench (he just keep the tube wrapped in athletic tape and called it his "special cream".

The "After Bite" stuff is nothing but bleach.
One thing that hasn't been mention and isn't a "bug" but may need to be addressed is leeches. Salt for them
