Not really looking forward to our southern friends gaining widespread access to our drug supply. No good can come of it for the Canadian consumer. Fix your own problems, don't make them ours. Thoughts?
Scrounger. Well said. Given the speed all our governments move and need to consult every group under the stars, we may indeed have issues. so stocking up on what you can may be wise. Just started another new med for failing body part so now need to not only ad that to the inventory but may be further jammed up with this.
Never bloody well ends

Scrounger, I don't want them to be able to enter this country without a visa, let alone coming here to be parasites off the system we have set up for our own citizens. They have built a banana republic, let them stay in it.
Give a man a gun, and he can rob a bank. Give a man a bank, and he can rob the world.

Clarence since my health adventures in 2015 have brought me into greater contact with the health care system, also have a friend who is EMT, also friend who is a doctor (and neighbour) I have been looking ahead, and listening to what they say. Its going to get ugly for most of us...Plan, plan, and plan even more for it...Ramps..put them in, build showers without steps to go over so a wheel chair rolls in, Get a hospital bed the kind thats fully adjustable at the push of a button. Change door knobs to lever style, Start stocking meds, especially pain killers, gout medicine, both types they don't like to give the elderly, pain killers if you have bad heart condition, and gout meds (live long enough and you will have gout, and arthritis problem) if you have a compromised liver. So its best to have a supply incase they wont prescribe, also stock up on water pills, and not the over the counter ones that are crap, but prescription meds, old people get horrible swelling of the legs from water build up, also water retention in the chest, compressing their heart. I could go on but you get the point.

Thanks for the various tips. Partially blocked artery so Lipitor and baby aspirin has been added to my needs. Already started a much leaner meat diet. Good heart surgeon friend who I know and who isn’t a flake made the recommendation. Love my meat and it will be hard but going to try. Going to triple garden this fall and grow more of my own stuff, also try a cold frame.
The dark evenings of this winter are going to be spent on reading up on health alternatives/ better food to replace meds. Hate taking drugs because it makes me feel vulnerable / attached to something I can’t control but so mote it be.
Many folks have said on this site and others that being physically fit is paramount to survival. I am in pretty good physical shape but due to meds, I am screwed at a certain point. I learnt to develop other skills to counter some physical limitations but damn it, I am going to try and ramp things up on physical side. As age increases, I am seeing more and more limiters pop up and that is frustrating beyond belief.
Thanks again for feedback! ❗
Clarence,
See if you can spend that time researching food/meds while on stationary bike or maybe podcast while walking. Locally we have a few indoor tracks that we take advantage of in inclement weather. Carving out a 12 a day is easy once you commit to it.
Check gov grants available to defray cost of making your home more handicap accessible. Lots out there.
