Hi everyone new to the site a prepper friend hooked me up. Looks like alot of resources’ (info) available, my wife & I left the city last July and moved to an 80 acre homestead in the Nolalu area. In the process of cutting and skidding 2 years worth of wood, building a chicken coop and pasture and getting a few hives ready. I also do some blacksmithing (still in training) and make my own charcoal for my forge. I have been accessing alot of the info the elders in the area have to offer. Looking forward to sharing ideas.Is Anyone else in the area, we meet with 4 other families from all around the area once a month for a pot luck we each take turns with hosting. Its a great way to build friendships and create alliances and share resources, anyone interested in joining our group message me.

80 acres sounds perfect. One of my all time favorite publications is a booklet called 'the have more plan'. It was first published around the 40's or 50's and is still around on the internet in pdf format.
