Hello, from SW Ontario, looking forward to connecting with groups that are developing in Canada.
I suppose I've been "prepping" for years, having developed skills I take for granted now, I always want to learn more and I enjoy sharing.
I've got a question, does anyone know how to extract oil from plants, corn for example? I recently made a batch of olive oil soap and it turned out really well but started thinking about producing soap when there are no oils available, imported or otherwise. I rendered tallow years ago but I'm vegan so would prefer to use a plant based soap. I'm not so hard core that I wouldn't resort to using animals. I just ordered "Roadkill" by Buck Peterson - waste not, want not.

Hey there Ruffinit, welcome to the forum...
As for the oil extraction, try a google search for cd3wd
This is a 5 dvd collection of 3rd world info and I remember quite a bit of info on oil extraction in it.
I would recommend downloading the entire thing...it will take some time but there is tons of info.
Thanks Denob. Happy to be here. WOW! Thanks for the tip.
BTW I love your signature.

I always wanted to try and make soap, my one odd fear i have is not having soap. There are some kinds of berries that you can make soaps from. thanks for sharing, and welcome.
