Hi everyone! I'm so glad that I found this page! I"m Dani, mom to 5 kids ranging from 20 years to 20 months, and partner to my husband Nick. We're currently in Brant county ontario. We've been sort of part time preppers for years, but this summer we realized that we seriously needed to get our act in gear!! I'm very much into food storage right now and am currently running my dehydrator just about 24/7. Our goal is to have at least 6 months of food on hand- excluding meat, as we can hunt and trap for that if we have too. We decided that this christmas is all about preparing: I'm outfitting my hubby with a personal backpack survival kit as his main gift!!

We try to include our children in our conversations about preparing for SHTF- we homeschool, so our kids have an amazing grasp of world politics, as that's one of mommy's main daily studies!! (I love when my four year old pipes up during the news and says "Harper is such a jerk!") 😆 This week we've been discussing the EU economic collapse and how it will effect our economy in Canada.

Our most pressing need is to get OUT of the city. This weekend we've finally said, this is it, we need to get a place with at least a bit of property so that we can grow our own food this summer. So the search is on for a house to rent around brant, norfolk, areas. ..... gods I hate moving!!!
