Heya,

Been lurking in the shadows, and I have followed some excellent posts on this site. Thought I would introduce myself. Grew up in Ontario, spent some time in the Florida Keys learning how NOT to prep for hurricanes. Moved to BC (Mission) in 2007 through work. Now I can prep for Avalanches, Earthquakes, Tsunamis, Volcanoes, Floods, Sasquatch Attacks and Power Outages. At least we have lots of water to drink here.

Welcome Preppersurus and greetings from Northern Ontario. One nice thing about Ontario is that we don't have a Sasquatch problem, just a bear problem.

Hey from the island! I grew up in Ontario as well. Been here since '92. Indeed we have no water shortage here! Welcome! Not sure if there's a Sasquatch problem here, maybe it's like the grizzly's and they just haven't swam over here in the masses yet.

Greetings from the interior of BC where we do have sasquatch sightings and the occasional pesky UFO.

I was a bit of an adventure seeker when I was younger so I was at Mt. St. Helens in May 1980 while it was erupting. I've been in several floods, a couple hurricanes, an earthquake, a couple landslides, and lots of power outages.

Most embarassing moment ... taking refuge in an outhouse and having it blow over while I was inside. It landed on the door so guess what hole I had to climb out of 🙁

OutAndAbout... I find your tag line intriguing... perhaps you could tell us the history behind it.

No story behind it. I change it every couple weeks to see if anyone ever notices these things.

I grew up watching Monty Python so the current one just caught my twisted sense of humor.

Actually, you've reminded me that I should be more careful.

I've worked in emergency services for over 20 years and one develops a severely twisted sense of humor to cope with some of the things we need to deal with.

I tend to forget that not everyone catches onto that in a politically correct world.
