Hello, all.

I'm new to prepping as well. I'm not into full-blown, off the grid style TEOTWAWKI prepping, but I'm hoping that my family will be able to cope with the common or garden variety disaster. As a newcomer to Canada, I'll most likely have a few questions about this or that as well.

Welcome to the group and to Canada. Would it be proper to ask where you are coming from?

How do folks
I am a 50 year old bachelor and retired veteran
I am the kind of guy who believes you are only as good as your word and business can be done on a hand shake
I am new to this site and preping as well
I have my BOB all prepared and several routes out of the city planned
I have fuel cached at a distance I can drive on a hlf tank of fuel and carry enough in my truck to go twice that distance

Some of my past experiances are carpentry, long haul trucker, infantry ,10 years cookin, animal husbandry and horse training
Also have bush skills and can skin clean and tan my own hides, then do leather crafts such as stitching punching and saddle repair
Some things I also have worked on are solar oven , furnace and dehydrator
Lookin to touch base with folks close to London Ont for exchange of ideas or skill
Thanks for reading and god bless

G'day Hobo and welcome. Sounds to me like you're well on your way to being a prepper with those skills. You've also got lots of company in the London area.

Hey there Nitromidas and welcome to the forum. If you want to find out what kind of disasters are likely to happen in your area, try the Canadian Disaster Database here...

http://www.publicsafety.gc.ca/prg/em/cdd/index-eng.aspx

Very searchable by various criteria.

In the mean time if you have any questions, just ask away, there are plenty of people here willing to help.
