Wow! I am loving this site!
Hello all you Canadian preppers!
I recently moved to the NW part of Ontario, to escape the racket in the city and fully submerse myself in a more simplistic lifestyle. Along with that, I'm working on getting a piece of raw land so that my family and I can homestead. We have been working towards our homestead for a good while now, but are fairly new to the prepper scene. I recently saw a prepper video online, and it was like a knock on the head. It wasn't long before we found ourselves perusing this site. Y'all have oodles of information on the subject! Thanks! But since that video we have been trying to catch up with the rest of you, and making our own plans for when the SHTF.
So here I am, making my intro. I'm sure I'll be learning a lot from you, but I hope to add a few bits and pieces that may be informative as well. Lastly, so far my wife is the only other prepper I know in this area, and we would like to link up with other preppers in the vicinity. So if any of you are in the areas of Minnitaki Lake and Eagle Lake, and would be interested in making an acquaintance, let me know.
David
Welcome to the forum! You are out in some beautiful country...I was in Dryden 2 years ago and ended up picking a ton of Blueberries in town and along the highway on the way back home. We're not terribly close, but the closest yet to respond...3 hrs.
One day, the lowly farmer will be King
Welcome to the group!
I spent a few summers up near where you are fishing as a kid. Beautiful country, great place to homestead for sure.
Thanks!
Yeah, the area up here is mighty fine, for sure. I haven't gone fishing yet, but I did go out with my wife and daughter to get a couple of baskets of blueberries and raspberries last season. Delicious!
welcome and enjoy it here, mostly a great bunch except for me, I am grouchy!
thank god for the bump on the head, best of luck and take care.
