Does anyone else have examples of chicken tractors, chicken arks or moveable coops for their birds, these are perfect in a number of ways, they work now to safely free range the birds but in a push come shove, it makes more sense to have something small that could be used to keep the birds safe but self-feeding as well
This is one that my DH put together for me, it will win no awards at being pretty but it works well and get the job done,, its sized for three to four hens max, it fits my garden beds or my walkways so that it can be moved over top and let the birds do their thing..

For free-range, you can use the bed topper/cap off a pickup truck. Decent shelter, and it can look like abandoned junk in a field no one might notice.
