Yeah he did the fall off. But it was funny watching him cozy up to her afterwards.

Re-breed, our buck got her twice this time. Doe wouldn't go for a third got a little aggressive. Hopefully we get some little ones in 32 days.

Well lost the babies all were still born. Will try again in a few weeks. I think it was because a couple of kids were banging on her cage 2 days before she was due.

If she does not throw you a good litter this time, might be time to look at replacing her, between not wanting to breed, stillborns etc..at least put it in the back of your mind 🙂

Yeah I have thought of that. When should we try again? If she doesn't want to breed with the buck we have I'll get the breeder we got her from to try it with the buck that breed her the last two times.

First if she does not want to breed your buck, start adding Apple Cider Vinager with Mother (has to be the good brags kind with active live mother in it) to the drinking water, one tbsp. per gallon to start, you can move up a bit once they get use to the taste, it will make them more willing to breed with any buck.

As for the timing, if you lose a litter, breed back within 24 to 72 hours afterwards.. she does not need a lot of recovery time as you are feeding well and she is not nursing etc.

Mix it up.. I am assuming you are taking her to the buck, got a pen you can put her and him at the same time on the lawn, give them a different surface, a different view and see if that helps..

But I stand by my statement, if my doe, black strike one on the loss of litters, strike two on not being a willing breeder with the buck of my choice, if she did this again.. time to see if the breeder wants her back or Thwack, time for dinner!

Just curious how your moms and the nuggets are doing, it being about the two-week "development" mark.

Have 4 2-month old babies bouncing around, and hopefully 4 litters in the next few weeks coming up! One is for sure pregnant, her sister we think is, and the other two are our "fun buns" that have colours to attract the pet crowd at the auction that are only 2 weeks along I think. Hopefully we get some good litters with lots of survivors!
