I am new to this group. I was at the meet up in Larose forest this past weekend with my mini me in tow. We had a wonderful time meeting all the great people that were there and learning a ton. The baby really likes the little rubber duckies and the little book. Thank you for thinking of her.
I guess I should add a little about me then. We recently moved to a place with a larger lot so I have been doing a lot of gardening to try and provide fresh produce for us. So I have been busily trying to add more garden beds to be able to fit all the things I would like to grow. I will be playing with my new pressure canner to learn how to preserve all the things. I have also added a small flock of domestic ducks to my back yard which I am raising for meat and eggs.
I also do a fair bit of spinning and knitting and other fibery crafts to keep us cozy and warm. Looking forward to learning a lot from this forum.

Welcome aboard Ducksrgr8t. It was a pleasure to meet you and the little one. If you ever need help with pressure canning I know Farmgal and I would be more than pleased to help out.

Thank you. We really enjoyed meeting you guys. I have been doing a little bit of canning so far this year but for the most part the yields in my garden were not in sufficient quantity yet to do much pressure canning. Though I have managed to do some apple sauce and jam so far. I am hoping next year I will have larger quantities so that I can put up more soups and veggies etc. I did manage to increase alot of my seed stores though this year.

That's great! It's not easy doing labour-intensive things when you have a baby! And they come first.
