Hello. I live on Vancouver Island and I just wanted to introduce myself and share some of my thoughts. For months now I have had a feeling of impending disaster... not sure what that will be, but it was strong enough to prompt me to make emergency bags for all my friends and family for Xmas. Since then I have bought myself a bow and have been reading books and watching videos on preparedness. I stumbled across this blog today and I have to say that I am surprised that there are so many other people doing it. Thank you for sharing all your information... it will be a great help for a beginner like me.

Welcome to the board and greetings from the other coast. There is much to learn here. Ive lived on the Big island a few time plus the little ones and the Sunshine Coast as well. Winters like this one and I really miss your temperate climate....and British Columbians in general. Ild have my garden started already if I was there. Few more months to go here. Say hi for me, when you can, to my oldest dearest friend, The Pacific Ocean. She will keep you alive more than any other prep.

I have a Tactical Harness and I have a Tool Belt. The Tool Belt is more Useful.

Hello neighbor! We have a nice little group that meets up now and then in the Comox area. Very informal, just connect and chat about various topics. Great to have you on board!
C5, the pacific ocean misses you too! And hey, we just got snow again today! Pretty sure it will be gone in the morning!
