Yer likely the closest yet to me as I live in the Lake of the Woods region of Ontario. Winnipeg's the big city to head for couple times a year and I never stay long...too much hustle and bustle and it quickly reminds me that I'm not missing much.

Hey neighbor ,Awesome area Lake of the woods. I spent a lot of summers canoeing around that area. I went to a school St. Johns cathedral boys school in selkierk manitoba and we started some of our canoe trips in that area.

Just stumbled upon this thread for some reason.
Spent 10 years in winnipeg and have lots of family and friends there still. Also have family from Kenora to Fort Frances and spend a week or so down that way each year.
Still miss the lakes.
Oddly enough, I even know a family down in Morden who used to live in the same small NWO town as me lol... seems like I should bump this thread the next time I drive out East as the shit is most likely to hit the fan when I'm on a roadtrip a long way from my preps LOL.
