Hi,
It is important to discuss other perspectives to get a better hold on the reality of the state of things.
My motivation:
1. Respect for the environment (I belong to the earth, not the other way around)
2. Wisdom - I have an undergrad in business but more importantly a philosophical mind. I recognize our current society is boring and egoic, driven by oil, coffee and a bunch of thoughts that distract people from the paradise that already exists. Our current society is self-destructive.
I grew up in the Catholic School System but was trapped into identification with being intellectual all the time. Only recently have I returned to reading the Bible and other important philosophical works which have proved my intuition correct. What really matters is control over your own destiny and not following the thought forms of people trying to manipulate you. This hive mentality is fine for bees but we are human beings and should be able to live more gracefully than this.
Skills I want to continue to hone are food preparation, beekeeping, hunting, fishing, foraging, trapping, shelter construction and so on.
