Welcome everyone! Don't forget to use the Search feature on the site to find topics that interest you.
Some areas have 'meet-ups' at times - just keep checking regularly and you'll find one in your area.

Hello from the Canadian Rockies! New member, been interested in survival for years and have slowly convinced family that prepping is hopefully unnecessary but prudent- an insurance policy. Hope to learn lots here!

Hi,
City dweller here. I've been interested in prepping in general for a while. I also like getting outdoors, permaculture, and generally being frugal. To me they are all useful skills and mindsets for whatever may happen. The key for me is building resilience. To do that means having similarly minded friends around me and reducing complexity in my life.

I've been interested in basic skills for a long time and family has been prepping before there was a term for it. Look forward to learning more and improving our preps as we go. Nice to know we're not the only ones who feel the world is ready for something to go wrong, and are working to be empowered to do something to keep going.

Greetings Fellow Preppers from Vernon, BC Canada!! Been prepping for awhile now, was feeling a bit alone in this until I found this network. Glad to see that I am not the only one who feels like there is something brewing globally! Looking forward to networking and sharing ideas!

Hello from NC soon to be NS. Going back to Canada but to a province I have never lived in before. Looking forward to eastcoast'ing it. 🙂 Have lived in many places across Canada - from the Yukon to Ontario to Iqualuit (and south of the border). Female, widow - older but wiser (I hope). Will lose a fair bit of food preps crossing the border again but hoping Customs will let me keep some. However, I have skills and can recoup over time.

Hello All,
I'm a new member and I just started with my prepping. Like many others, who joined prepping movement, I feel that something is not quite right so the first prepping step that I made, unconscious step :), I bought a house in a rural area about 50 kms away from my work couple of years ago. Now it is a good time to become practical prepper and not theoretical one :).

Good evening from Northern BC.

Another earthquake off the coast has finally shoved us off the ledge and into a community we hope will guide my husband and I through the misinformation and paranoia that has swept across the web in recent years, month, weeks...

Knowledge is power and we hope to be prepared and fully knowledgeable when SHTF and in the event of no major catastrophe, pandemic etc.. have knowledgeable, intelligent, and prepared children who can pass it forward.

Thank you for documenting so much with the expectation of so little in return. Knowledge truly is power.

Hey there! My wife and I are just getting rolling on becoming preppers. We have a lot to learn, and this seems like a great place to do that!

Cheers!

Howdy folks,

Just gonna stick my foot in the door here, won't be able to contribute much until later in the summer months unfortunately.

That being said I plan on utilizing my bushcraft/survival skills in a more productive manner then what I'm used to doing with them. 😀
