Hi there from Edmonton. I moved here from the countryside of central Ontario and am trying to adjust to a new life in the city. It leaves me feeling slightly un-prepared ! I'm hoping to learn some new things on the site and hopefully eventually meet some fellow like minded people in the Edmonton area.
Hello from the Rockies. I live in South Jordan, Utah, country taken over by the city over the span of my life. I have been teaching preparedness classes for the last 10 years or so. When I want to learn something new I schedule a class, great motivation for learning. My latest project has been mastering the art of thermal cooking. I look forward to learning from you all. So much to learn, so little time. Thanks for the add.

Have been a lurker for a little while, but decided if I am to learn anything, I best sign up and start asking.

Happy to have come across this site. It's nice to be part of a bigger "family" where questions, suggestions and information can be shared with like-minded people. I have been prepping for about 5 years now, mostly as an Urban prepper at this time. Looking for land where we can homestead and have room for immediate family is in our future. In the meantime just gaining experience and getting back to basics. Looking forward to getting to know you and learning more.
Hello

Welcome Zippy, i don't know whereabouts you're located, but agree that it's the best time to search for land alternatives while money still has relative value , and development/travel costs also. And better yet, is to quickly find others to go with you, developing a skillset of collaboration as you discover who exactly is like-minded in the basics important to you...villager
