Hello everyone! My name is Phil and I am extremely new to prepping. I have done some research over the last year and have starting prepping to a small degree, and plan to take it to the next level after I buy my next house. I saw that someone said Prepping can be a lonely endeavour and I can agree. Which is why I have spent some time trying to find the right Forum. Well here I am! I wonder, are there ever meet ups? If so I would be interested in meeting up and learning from experienced Preppers. I believe everyone brings something to the table. Myself I have a very niche skill to bring to the table. I am an Hone Meister specializing in Honing Straight Razors and Knives. I have been honing & Teaching the Art of honing professionally for 20 years and also have a shaving store. Learning about prepping will obviously be a new passion and hope to learn as much as possible in the years to come. Any recommendations will be appreciated. I hope everyone has a wonderful 2016!

Good Evening Fellow Preppers!

I am somewhat new to Prepping, as with the last gentleman who introduced himself. I have been learning survival skills since I was a child (thanks to my father's love of camping) but I only began prepping supplies this year. I do not have any prepping family members nor friends, and I completely resonate with many other forum users that it is quite lonely sometimes (in my prepping initiatives). My boy friend is open to prepping, though I know he is not completely there yet. Supportive, though I am the one making the plans, doing the research, and obtaining the items (of course, outside of camping and wilderness survival stuff - he loves that!). We are backpack campers, and are interested in taking some "classes" for wilderness survival skills, etc;

I have been reading many articles online, and I sometimes get a little overwhelmed with all of the information on the web. I am hoping there are like-minded individuals, families, or a prepping community within the Hamilton area (I am open to the surrounding cities, as well).

Thanks for taking the time to read, and good luck in your prepping endeavours!

Hi from Cole Harbour, NS, Canada.

I'm a retired Cdn military member and I'm just getting into prepping. I have quite a bit of military and outdoor survival experience. Just wondering if there are any Prepper communities/groups close to my place so we can network and share ideas.

Welcome Classic Edge. Check/post a note in the Ontario forum - there are some Hamilton area folks - oldschool and maxwild01 for starter - met them this past summer 🙂

Hello all!

I've been prepping for about the last year, now (unbeknownst to my spouse) and finally decided to join this site to find a network, and chat with like-minded people. Always up for some tips, tidbits and info on everything involved in prepping. I live in the Peace Region of Northern Alberta, and am slowly becoming aware of all the crap going on in the world today and the many reasons to be prepared for just about anything.

Looking forward to reading about all the topics in the forums I couldn't read before I signed up. 😆

Cheers!

Sheri

Nice area up that way, I want to spend some time checking out the country side there someday, if I ever get the time...Hows the economy doing up there?

Hello from a new member. I live in the state of Missouri. I enjoy watching your videos on you tube. I'm a fairly new prepper so am interested in learning all I can. Thank you for this opportunity.
How do I ask a question on one of your you tube videos? Thank you.

Hello there,

I am from the Moncton, NB, Canada area and have been a part time preppers for ever. My wife and I are both from big poor families and learned to do with little. Both children are gone on their own now and we still buy and store in bulk. Comes from growing up hungry I guess. We garden and can everything we can. We buy bulk and preserve all we can. We are going to take more of a serious interest in prepping in case the shtf... I have a feeling it may be sooner than later with what is going on in the world now. We hope to learn some and maybe teach some.
