Hi I'm Wayne,

By way of introduction, I'm 63 years of age, married, and have two Grandsons living with my wife and I (ages 7 and 11). I suppose having young ones to look after has been the cause of my interest in prepping.

My background includes being a military survival instructor and a police tactical officer. I'm now retired and live in a detached home on a couple of acres of land outside Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.

My knowledge of prepping is limited, so I'm looking forward to reading your postings. Thanks in advance for your guidance.

Hello all. Glad to have found this site. I'm located down in Southeastern Ontario, close to the town of Havelock. I was involved in the emergency response and emergency preparedness fields in the nuclear industry, so hoe preparedness wasn't much of a stretch for me. I listened to the Testimony of Dr. Peter Vincent Pry to the Canadian Senate Committee on National Defense last April 18, 2016 where he talked about EMP, solar storms, and other speakers discussed cyber-hackers and infrastructure security and it got my attention. I have since ramped up my efforts a bit and look forward to learning and exchanging info with folks here.
