Hi folks 4thought here. I live in the Kingston area and have been concerned with the concept of self sufficiency for years. Very interested in meeting like minded people and attending any open meetings in eastern Ontario. Retired some years ago from professional life and my wife and I are installing off grid solar panels on waterfront cottage property we are developing 45 minutes north of Kingston . We have a couple of waterfront acreages which have areas for crops/gardens with privacy, areas that are heavily treed for firewood. In short we are concerned about privacy , security and self sufficiency. We recognize that cooperation with like minded folks is beneficial to all. It would be nice to have neighbours that could work to our mutual benefit. Thanks for listening.

Hi, and welcome aboard. I am from ottawa area. How do you find the Frontenac Region and folks for privacy... I have considered that area for an alternate site.

Just want to say a quick hello. Just join this site. I live in the Cariboo. The wife and I are just getting started at this.. I have 15yrs of military experience in the infantry. I also spend up to 2 months in the back country camping, fishing and hunting a year.

I’ve just joined the board the other day, and am looking forward to all the great advice and help from the knowledgeable ‘Prepper’ family.
I’ve a keen interest in Astronomy, Cosmology, Planetary Ascension, and Torsion Field Physics as my current primary side interests, as well as HAM/SDR Amateur radio, R/Vs, Solar Energy And Power generation systems, computers, photography, Astrovideography, Quadding, Sledding, 4x4’ing, army vehicle restoration, pharmacology, food supplementation, palliative care, among other more esoteric fields.
As far as prepping, I am somewhat new to the whole disclipine and will, no doubt, be picking brains on a fairly frequent basis as I learn my way around this extremely important endeavour.
