It will run my Maxstar inverter welder, air compressor, chainsaws...

EDIT...just back to add this unit is easly hackable, With some effort you can get this unit to run off solar panels directly, Modified one about 1.5 years ago to do just that. A few components need to be changed out(for higher voltage ones), the Incoming DC needs to be clipped or regulated to not more than 17 volts, and from memory I had to do something with the DC buss monitoring feedback so that the processor didn't know the DC buss was greater than 15.5. I think I just through in a Zener to drop a few volts. I might have been able to go higher than 17 volts, but I wasn't brave enough to try, and 17 is right around the max power point for 12 volt solar panels anyway so why push my luck.
