I like this idea .
I have noticed under our kitchen table there is enough room with a little ingenious adaptation it might be able to hold some extra things that would only be visible if you were on the floor or you could Velcro some fabric over so it was not visible at all .

I would turn the table upside down..bracket in some 2x2,s spacers (doing this would enable you to adhere your material, cardboard or plywood for holding in place...

kelee877 I think you are my new idol . Not exactly extra space , but up under the sinks in the bathroom and kitchen you can rig a wee extra bit of storage where people do not look much . I only used it to fit in extra soap and cleaning supplies but now it is making me think . It would be a good place to simply install a piece of pipe that does not really function but looks normal to your average scan and lined with paper towel or toilet roll cardboard spindles is perfect for some coins or jewelry you do not want found.

I've heard of people doing this for storage

Preparedness is like a condom , I've rather have it and not need it, rather than need it and not have it
