Oh the things I do for IPN. This will be an exclusive just for you loyal folks.

I am about to perform an experiment for you all. I am about to get in touch with my inner nerd.

Lets start with a brief explanation. When I first started writing down survival advice, I had an odd inner revelation. I asked myself, "Who survives the zombie apocalypse?"
To my surprise, I realised The SCA (the Society of Creative Anachronism. A medieval group) was #2 on my list after Organised Crime and before Organised sports teams and Rednecks. Preppers were way down to the #7 position. Ill get around to explaining my reasoning later.

I've been thinking about giving a typical C5 piece of survival advice for about a year now. Something that goes against the grain and will probably not be accepted right away...Like I once did on cargo bikes. Now bikes are accepted practice.

My survival advice was-C5 Rule of Survival- If you cant find a prepper group to join or create a team on your own, no matter how hard you have tried...Join the SCA

But before I am comfortable giving survival advice...I need to know it works from first hand experience and not just parroting the unquestioned theory of old survivalists or any dumbass with a blog or youtube channel.

I'm constantly doing survival experiments to find out if certain survival advice can produce "Actual survival". I have far more Fails than success. That's how I know they don't always work.LOL
Todays experiment involves getting dressed up like a freak, strapping on a broad sword, and schmoozing with the Asperger's. Im off to a wilderness event with the SCA. Ive been around multiple SCA groups before so I know them well but this is a whole different group way over on the other side of the continent...so I don't know them and I am going in cold.
I'm going in, as an experiment, as if my actual survival depends on it. My mindset will be focused on that I need to join a group for safety. This experiment may be a one off or go on for years. I'll tell you what I learn.

Oh, The things I do for preppers.

I have a Tactical Harness and I have a Tool Belt. The Tool Belt is more Useful.
