Hello all, I am still around but have stopped trying to get together with others as I am tired of year long "Let's do coffee" threads.
I have a somewhat steady job for the past 2.5 years but often have no control over shifts I work so it is hard to establish a rhythm in life. I am still involved in martial arts on a hobby level. Been downsizing and selling of military gear as well as being honest with myself that keeping a job and having savings is about all one can do in the city, just no room for long term survival.
I'll try to be here more often, if only to hear what Nova Scotians are doing but I am more often on the international boards as more happens there.

Seems like everyone is caught in their own web of craziness and it is therefore very difficult for people to commit to getting together to talk. Add to that, although Nova Scotia is not a huge province, people can still be quite a distance apart and travel therefore complicates things further. I live on the South Shore, between Mahone Bay and Bridgewater. I'm also not a fan of just talking about meeting, I prefer to just make it happen. If you live in my part of the woods, let me know and I'm sure we would find lots to talk about.
I agree...anyone up for a summer meet-up? Could be just a day long thing at a central locale...Citadel Hill in Halifax, Victoria Park in Truro, etc, for instance.
I also agree that it is hard for some to meet with work and let's do coffee treads, so let's try to work around when everyone works. I can say now that my Saturday's and Sunday's are busy till the end of June and then I am busy to July 10 cause of my volunteering commitment . So maybe we can try for after that if it is possibly and it works for everyone.I am usual good with plenty of notice.

I have been to Truro twice and Victoria Park once on one of those trips. Love the park but not much in Truro to make me a regular visitor.
I'll be on vaction end of this month in Bridgetown, Annapolis, Middleton, Berwick, Coldbrook. Any one from here in these towns?
